Butter

There is very little that is more satisfying than to have an experiment be a success. The first time to the range with this rifle system we determined that the rifle has the potential to shoot well. It was recoiling sharply until we put the Backfire “Backstop” pad on. But the muzzle blast was still a disruption. So, the second time to the range was intended to add and test the Omega 300 suppressor system from SilencerCo. Let me start by saying this. Don’t ever shoot someone’s suppressed gun if you don’t want to hate your own suppressorless weapon later. I set up the Bergara B14 HMR, added the suppressor, and lined it up over a sandbag. When I pulled the trigger it merely went “poof”. Sincerely, this system now has less recoil than a 223. There is NO muzzle blast. It is quite a shocking experience. I was talking to one of the range officers and urged him to shoot the rifle. He is an experienced hunter, shooter, and military man. He lined up and put the first shot dead center of the bullseye. We both giggled. You couldn’t have a better shot if you ran at the target and stabbed it with a bullet. On the spot I named my rifle. Since it shoots as soft and smooth as warm butter, it will forevermore be known as, “Butter”.
